Job Description

We will pay a great sign on bonus for a skilled and dedicated A level Automotive Technician with GM dealership experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background with GM vehicles, and a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. We need an A/B tech with transmission experience who will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers while upholding the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Repair or replace faulty components including powertrain systems, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
  • Utilize hand tools and machinery effectively to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Align wheels and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to provide clear explanations of repairs needed and completed.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency in automotive diagnostics with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Familiarity with transmissions, powertrain systems and their components.
  • Experience as a service technician with a solid understanding of auto estimating practices.
  • Ability to work with hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Knowledge of ADAS technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
